“See how great a love the Father has bestowed on us…” – 1 John 3:1
Parents often speak of the depth of love they have for their children. Even if you are not a parent, you have probably heard that though one may love one’s immediate and extended family and even one’s closest friends, the love that a father or mother have for their child or children is altogether different and of a different intensity. It’s hard to imagine then that as deep a love as parents have for their children, the love of God is infinitely deeper. Scripture says that God is love (1 John 4:8), and His love is great for many reasons; one of which is that it is endless. God’s love is inexhaustible and always available to be received and enjoyed by those who are desperate to experience it.
