“Then the seventh angel sounded; and there were loud voices in heaven, saying, ‘The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ; and He will reign forever and ever.'” Revelation 11:15
What do you think of when you hear the word, ‘Kingdom’? Most of us think of castles and moats, knights and dragons, or princes and princesses. The central thought behind ‘Kingdom’ in the Bible is the fact that God is the good and rightful ruler of all creation. The brokenness and evil that we see in the world around us is a result of a competing kingdom, established by Satan. This verse reminds us that this false kingdom will not last. God in Christ has delivered the fatal blow to Satan and his strongholds by His death and resurrection. It is just a matter of time until the kingdom of this world is totally replaced. As the people of God today, we share in His mission by calling rebels to lay down their weapons and surrender. There is forgiveness and freedom available to all who will yield to the One True King.
Who do you need to pray for because he or she is at war with God’s Kingdom and doesn’t even know it?
