“baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit” – Matthew 28:18-20

Baptism has been a meaningful and biblical practice for thousands of years, symbolizing who we follow as disciples of Jesus. When Jesus spoke these words, He commanded that His followers baptize in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. When people trust Jesus as Savior and Lord, they are to follow Him in obedience by being immersed in the water, symbolizing death with Christ and being raised with Him to live this new life. While baptism does not bring about salvation, it is a public symbol that declares to the world that a person has a relationship with God and with His familythe Church. Therefore, baptism is a visible proclamation of the gospel to those who don’t know God at all.

Have you been baptized since you began following Jesus? If so, who has been impacted because of your obedience to Jesus in this way?
