Purchased Morning Assistant

Position Summary:

The Purchased LV Morning Administrative Assistant assists the Program Director and Coordinator in making a daily encouraging environment where clients have every opportunity to progress and succeed in their social, mental, emotional, and scholastic recovery.

This position is very relational in nature as they work closely with some of the most vulnerable in our city. This requires the individual to be warm, empathetic, optimistic, and firm in order to build close relationships that are vital to recovery.

She does this by overseeing the client’s daily transportation, attendance, and participation in program requirements. In addition, she also tracks and manages supplies used daily at the Program Space. Occasionally, she will work with other members of The Hub staff to carry out group trainings or events.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Ultimately, the job of the Purchased Morning Assistant is essential to the success of the clients while in the Reclaimed Recovery Program and post-graduation. The assistant is responsible for keeping the clients on tasks, being the main point of contact for online school questions, and many more things. This enables the clients, Coordinator, and Director to focus their energy on various other areas in the recovery process. The duties include:
  • Intentionally getting to know clients and Purchased Staff in the hopes of building solid trusting relationships to build a healthy environment that promotes growth for all
  • Coordinating and communicating, with guardians, volunteers, and Program Coordinator, the transportation of clients to the program space
  • Taking care of regular maintenance of the Purchased van (gas, oil changes, cleanliness, etc.)
  • Planning and leading daily devotional time with clients
  • Assist with preparation of recovery class curriculum
  • Leading or assisting in teaching recovery classes
  • Overseeing, with Program Coordinator, the program volunteers during program hours
  • Enforcing, with the Program Coordinator and volunteers, the daily program schedule to keep clients on track
  • Tracking client’s daily participation and attendance in required program activities and classes
  • Helping clients with online schooling
  • Managing the Ignitia school system and utilizing it to grade assignments and track academic progress
  • Understanding and using Asana to organize tasks and communicate with other Purchased Staff
  • Utilizing case management systems
  • Managing, with Program Coordinator, VOMO serving opportunities to ensure they stay up to date and are reflective of the program schedule
  • Keeping an inventory of all cleaning and school supplies in the Program Space
  • Creating and replenishing new client bins
  • Supplying groceries for the Program Space and keeping track of food inventory
  • Communicating with other Purchased Staff any information learned about clients that pertains to their recovery process
  • Posting weekly on The Hub’s social media
  • Leading or assisting Purchased Outreaches
  • Attending The Hub: Equip Training days
Skills Required:
The Purchased Morning Assistant should be a strongly rooted woman who is consistent, compassionate, empathetic, and firm. Essentially, she will be intentionally working to uplift and remind the clients of the truth that they have immeasurable worth and value, through word and deed. Specific skills required include:

  • Fun and lighthearted demeanor
  • A willingness to learn and openness to critiques
  • Proficiency in Word processing applications
  • Comfortability driving a 15-passenger van
  • Clear verbal and written communication
  • Associates degree preferred
