“I urge you to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.” – Romans 12:1
Believers worship God on Sundays in church services all over the world. But this outward expression of worship does not exhaust all of what defines spiritual worship. Spiritual worship is a lifestyle. Worship is not defined by a certain day of the week. We worship all the time in everything we do. To present our bodies purposefully and intentionally is how worship begins. How often do we need to be reminded of that as brothers and sisters in Christ? You see, the problem with a living sacrifice is that it can crawl off of the altar. We must live in community with other followers of Jesus who will encourage us to live a life of worship.
