“Encourage the exhausted, and strengthen the feeble.” – Isaiah 35:3
If you think about it, when you break your arm or leg, or even a finger, your other parts have to work overtime to compensate for the damaged member. When your right arm is in a cast, your left arm will have to become stronger. This is even true for the body of Christ. Paul said it this way: “And if one member suffers, all the members suffer with it” (1 Corinthians 12:26). Whenever one of our brothers or sisters are damaged emotionally, spiritually, or physically, the rest of the body of Christ is to be present to comfort and support them. When something takes place in the life of a believer, we all share in the pain and loss. We can’t help but feel it within our spiritual limbs. This is how Christ has designed the body to function and grow!
