The blessing of God’s salvation that was bestowed on Abraham in Genesis 12 is available to us through a relationship with Jesus. In Christ, we have life, purpose, and eternal hope that cannot be taken away. The blessing of salvation changes us personally, and God desires for the change in our lives to have a direct impact on the people around us. God saved us because He loves us and because He loves the people around us. However, we cannot experience salvation or be fruitful in God’s mission on our own. We can only experience God’s mission and bear fruit in God’s kingdom as we walk by faith, being led and empowered by the Spirit of God who resides in us.
