“that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.” – John 3:16
Prior to all the high end technology we have today, it was not possible to discover if a woman was having a boy or a girl. Parents had to wait nine long months to find out, and it was always the biggest news of the day. Family and friends would hover near the hospital doors waiting breathlessly for the announcement: “It’s a boy!” or “It’s a girl!” Today, parents don’t have to wait; they can find out while the baby is still forming whether it’s a boy or a girl, and they share with the world, all across social media, in the most creative ways, the biggest news of the day! In this passage, Jesus just declared the greatest news in the history of mankind! “If you believe, you will have eternal life!” Not many people are breathlessly waiting to hear about their destiny, but those of us who have believed and received Jesus have been given the opportunity to share the greatest news ever declared, every time we have the opportunity!
