“By faith Abraham, when he was called, obeyed by going to a place which he was to receive from an inheritance; and he went out not knowing where he was going.” – Hebrews 11:8
Abraham went out not knowing where he was going. Is that really what the Bible says? Yes. In human wisdom, people would say that was poor planning on Abraham’s part. But this thinking couldn’t be further from the truth. When a person has a daily time with God, they begin to see things in life differently. They understand that God has a plan, and as His children, we are part of that plan. We should absolutely make plans but also be ready on a moment’s notice to change those plans as God directs our lives. Only when a person’s relationship with Jesus is consistent, can he hear the voice of God clearly enough to follow God and know the next step.
Could it be that God is speaking, but you may not be able to hear because you haven’t spent consistent time in His presence?
