“And they sang a new song, saying, ‘Worthy are You to take the book and to break its seals; for You were slain, and purchased for God with Your blood men from every tribe and tongue and people and nation. You have made them to be a kingdom and priests to our God; and they will reign upon the earth.’” – Revelation 5:9-10
There is nothing like a good book! Whenever you start reading a captivating story, there is always that tendency to flip to the last chapter to see how the story ends. As Jesus followers, we know how the story is going to end! It ends with the Kingdom of God. His Kingdom is big, and His Kingdom is believers. For a temporary season, God has established the local church to be a launching pad for the expansion of His Kingdom locally and globally. Therefore, we are not simply members of a church; we are also citizens of a Kingdom that is alive and expanding all over the world. Once this season is over and Christ has returned for His Bride, for all eternity, there will be all kinds of different people from different places in perfect fellowship with God in Heaven.
