“Moreover, as for me, far be it from me that I should sin against the Lord by ceasing to pray for you; but I will instruct you in the good and right way.” – 1 Samuel 12:23
There is no feeling that compares to when you are thirsty. When you are parched and in need of water, nothing else will satisfy! Until you get that ice cold water in your mouth, you will be unfulfilled. In a similar sense, there are people in our everyday lives that are incredibly “thirsty” for someone to put their arm around them and to simply let them know they are there. God never intended us to do life on our own so there are some aspects of the Christian life that will never be fully fulfilled unless we are in biblical community. There’s nothing more life-giving or refreshing than when a brother or sister in Christ shows genuine care and concern for us in prayer.
