“No one has seen God at any time; if we love one another, God abides in us, and His love is perfected in us.” – 1 John 4:12
People aren’t opposed to the gospel. They’re waiting to see it be lived out. The main message of the Bible and what Jesus preached about was centered in God’s love for us. In fact, the Bible tells us that God is love (1 John 4:8)! That’s why it is so important that we love one another. People are watching and waiting to see if what we preach on Sunday is real on Monday. And since we are only able to love because God first loved us, when we love one another, we are displaying just a foretaste of God’s love for all people. Loving another brother or sister in Christ is accomplishing much more than the immediate act of service; it’s displaying and projecting God’s love to the world!
