“that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death;” – Philippians 3:10
Paul understood that everything in his life was for the goal of knowing Christ more. Whatever came his way or whatever God had for him to do, Paul did everything for the sake of his relationship with Jesus. Everything was an avenue towards deeper intimacy with Christ. Here, he focused on knowing Him through “the fellowship of His sufferings” and those sufferings were the means by which he was “conformed to His death.” He was shaped into the image of Jesus who Himself was obedient unto death by the sufferings He experienced. As the world see’s this divine perspective that we carry toward to trials of life, our prayer should be that we have an opportunity to tell them about the One who suffered for us.
Do you see everything in your life as an avenue to know Christ more?
