“Sanctify them in the truth; Your word is truth.” – John 17:17
There is nothing like being on the phone in the midst of a good conversation, especially an encouraging one, only to have the call drop in mid-sentence because it has been disconnected. The world today depends so heavily on cell towers to stay connected. Cell towers are needed to transmit your friend’s words, via radio waves, to your phone so that you can hear and understand. If the cell tower goes down, the connection to your friend is gone. As Jesus followers, one of the ways you and I stay “connected to God” is through His Word. As believers, we are brought into conformity to Christ as we spend time with God through His Word. Staying connected to His truth purifies your mind and heart, and it motivates you to confess your sins to Him and other brothers and sisters in Christ (James 5:16).
