“By faith Sarah herself received ability to conceive, even beyond the proper time of life, since she considered Him faithful who had promised.” – Hebrews 11:11
Have you ever wanted something? Sarah wanted to be a mother. Her womb had been shut, and she was unable to conceive for 90 years. God had promised Abraham that he would be the “father of many.” This was a joy for Sarah to hear and to know that God’s promise would be fulfilled. When you’re in your 20s, this faith is not difficult to hold. But as the years roll from the 20s to the 30s and from the 30s to the 40s, the next thing you know, you’re ninety years old, and this faith may start to wane. With God, we know that all things are possible. With God, the proper age to conceive does not matter. God wanted the couple to have a child, and they did. Sarah believed in the faithfulness of God. What struggle are you enduring? Consider the promises of God as already occurring. Thank Him for knowing the right time to do what only He is capable of doing.
In your life, which promise of God can you claim as you face the struggles you’re facing?
