“I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.” – Galatians 2:20
The Christian life is a life of faith. It’s not that we are placing our faith in faith itself. We place our faith in a Person: Jesus. We trust a real Person who really walked this earth. And this faith was rooted in the love of Jesus for us. His love is intimate and personal. It’s not conditional or wavering. It’s consistent and faithful. This love was ultimately expressed through His sacrifice on the cross (1 John 3:16). He wasn’t coerced or forced into this. He willing gave Himself for you and me. What a picture of love! This shaped Paul’s life and ministry. How foundational is this reality in your life today?
When was the last time you thought about Jesus’ sacrifice for you? Thank Him right now!
