“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you will be my witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth.” Acts 1:8
This chapter lists four specific regions where we are to be witnesses, and the first one is Jerusalem. Jesus is not calling all of us to move to the literal Jerusalem to witness, but He is laying out a clear strategy that helps us understand our responsibility to reach where we live, work, and play. You are God’s plan to reach your family, your co-workers, and neighbors. He commissions all of us, as Christ-followers, to share Jesus with our sphere of influence in this city. Somebody once said, “You are the only Jesus your neighbor will see.” Do you know that Jesus has a body, and is seen throughout our city? You are part of the body of Christ and you are the plan for reaching your family, neighborhood and city.
