“By this the children of God and the children of the devil are obvious: anyone who does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor the one who does not love his brother.” – 1 John 3:10
When you were born again as a new creation in Christ, you became God’s child. And those who are related to God as children are also related to each other as brothers and sisters in Christ. You are part of a BIG family. Since, according to this verse, every Christian is characterized by righteousness and love, it is then impossible to be part of the family of God and not manifest love toward others in the family. However, just as with your biological family, this is not always easy. Loving your brothers and sisters in Christ can only happen when Christ loves them through you.
