“Be devoted to one another in brotherly love; give preference to one another in honor.” – Romans 12:10
As Christians, we are called to be devoted to one another as members of a family are devoted to one another. This devotion creates an environment of acceptance and transparency. And this level of devotion can be uncomfortable at first because it calls for you to be relational and vulnerable when someone else may not be. What we don’t often realize is that someone is waiting to experience this transparency and vulnerability in someone else before they themselves will feel comfortable to open their heart. Devotion expressed in brotherly love creates a safety net so that others can expose their hearts without fear.
What is hindering this level of devotion to other brothers or sisters in Christ in your life?
