“I thank my God in all my remembrance of you, always offering prayer with joy in my every prayer for you all, in view of your participation in the gospel from the first day until now.” – Philippians 1:3-5
What is a partnership? It is two or more people, joining together, for a common purpose. A marriage is a partnership; two people creating a business is a partnership; and the Body of Christ working together to accomplish the mission is a partnership. The Apostle Paul is filled with joy and gratitude because of his partnership with these believers and how they lived so generously to see the mission of God accomplished through his itinerant ministry (Philippians 4:15-16). This “thank you” letter to the Philippians serves as a great reminder for us to ask the question: How am I living generously to see the mission of God accomplished globally? God has blessed us so that we can be a blessing to others (Psalms 67:7).
