“Let him know whoever brings back a sinner from his wandering will save his soul from death.” – James 5:19-20
The message of Christmas reminds us that God sent His Son on a mission to save that which was lost, to bring them into a right relationship with the Father. It is because of this relationship with God that we now have a relationship with God’s family. One of the responsibilities of family members is to challenge and correct one another when necessary. Here, James is reminding us of one of those necessary times when either a brother or sister in Christ is wandering away from Jesus. It begs the question of us on this holiday: Do I have a relationship with God? Do I have brothers and sisters in Christ who can call me out when I may be wandering away from my relationship with God?
Have you given another brother or sister in Christ the freedom to speak into your life if they see you wandering?
