“Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another so that you may be healed. The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much.” – James 5:16
Our prayers are important in the Kingdom of God. Over and over in the Scriptures, God compels and exhorts His people to pray because prayer changes things. At Hope, we often say, “God in His sovereignty has chosen to limit His activity to the prayers of His people.” While we don’t fully understand all that is wrapped up in that reality, we do know that God works in response to His people. Let’s apply this truth to His global activity. What could God do in response to your prayer for unreached people, world leaders, and those who have great influence (1 Timothy 2:1-4)? All we have to do is ask.
How can you intentionally begin to pray for those in authority?
