“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you…” Acts 1:8
The Holy Spirit indwells each one of His children, and He empowers us to fulfill whatever He calls us to do. It is great comfort to know that God doesn’t call us to be His witness in our own power. God is sending you out to be His witness, and He will give you everything you need to accomplish that mission.
God provides the confidence in Him to proclaim the Gospel. God opens the door to present the Gospel. God prepares the heart of the unbeliever to hear the message. God comforts you when there are times of persecution. The list is limitless when describing the power of the Holy Spirit. You can rest in the fact that God will surely do the work in and through you, as you simply put your “yes” on the table.
