“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.” – Hebrews 13:8
In our human minds, we expect everything in life to change even though we would love for things to stay the same. Change is welcomed in many respects in life but can be difficult for any human to take in. Since everything does change in life, our cynical nature can begin to take over our lives. There is one thing that doesn’t change though: God. He has always remained the same since the foundations of the earth. The God who created us and who created everything we see is exactly the same today as He was then. The God who defeated all of Israel’s enemies, placed Jesus in His mother’s womb, and watched Jesus suffer and die is the exact same God who exists today. His promises and ways have not and will not change. What peace and contentment we have in knowing that God never changes!
