"Then He said to His disciples 'The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Therefore beseech the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest.'" -Matthew 9:37-38

Most churches have the same problem: more “seat-warmers” than helpers. Yesterday you read about the urgency Jesus had in His heart for the harvest. More than we think, people are ready to hear the Good News of Jesus Christ. They want to hear how they can have peace in this tumultuous world. Because He is already the Lord of the harvest, Jesus clearly tells His disciples their responsibility to pray earnestly for more workers in the harvest. Interestingly, Jesus answers that prayer in the very next chapter in Matthew by sending out the same disciples He told to pray for more workers! This begs the question: Does God want you and I to pray for other believers to engage in the mission? Absolutely! However, what if God wants to use you to answer your very own prayer request?

How are you sharing in the mission locally and globally?
