We take a look at two stories in the Bible where we see this truth played out: the story of Nicodemus and the story of Jesus and the Samaritan woman. Through their stories, we learn that no matter who you are, what you’ve done, or where you came from, the God of the universe wants a relationship with you!

“The Greatest Invitation” John 3:16
“‘For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.’” John 3:16
The God of the universe wants a relationship with you.
“Now there was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews. This man came to Jesus by night and said to him, “Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher come from God, for no one can do these signs that you do unless God is with him.” Jesus answered him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.”’ John 3:1-3
“‘For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.’” John 3:16
“...for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God...” Romans 3:23
“...your iniquities have made a separation between you and your God, and your sins have hidden his face from you so that he does not hear.” Isaiah 59:2

“And this is eternal life, that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.” John 17:3

The water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.' The woman said to him, 'Sir, give me this water, so that I will not be thirsty or have to come here to draw water.'" John 4:13-15
The God of the universe wants a relationship with you.
