Two Truths about Sex
1. Sex is God’s Gift
 
“So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. And God blessed them. And God said to them, ‘Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it.’” Genesis 1:27-28a

“Indeed, sex is perhaps the most powerful God-created way to help you give your entire self to another human being. Sex is God’s appointed way for two people to reciprocally say to one another, ‘I belong completely, permanently, and exclusively to you.’” Tim Keller
 
Three Purposes of God’s Gift of Sex
1. For making babies

3. For mutual enjoyment
 
“Let your fountain be blessed, and rejoice in the wife of your youth, a lovely deer, a graceful doe. Let her breasts fill you at all times with delight; be intoxicated always in her love.” Proverbs 5:18-19

“For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you abstain from sexual immorality; that each one of you know how to control his own body in holiness and honor, not in the passion of lust like the Gentiles who do not know God...” 1 Thessalonians 4:3-5
 
“Therefore whoever disregards this, disregards not man but God, who gives his Holy Spirit to you.” 1 Thessalonians 4:8

1. Prioritize time with Jesus
2. Love your spouse the way they like to be loved

·  Get away annually
·  Have fun continually
4. Communicate openly and often
5. Have sex regularly
 
“Do not deprive one another, except perhaps by agreement for a limited time, that you may devote yourselves to prayer; but then come together again, so that Satan may not tempt you because of your lack of self-control.” 1 Corinthians 7:5

2. How do you feel like our time together is? How it can be more intentional about it?
3. What could we do to improve our communication?
4. What is one step we could take to increase our physical intimacy?
