A Jesus Follower’s Next Step

“And Jesus came and said to them, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.’” Matthew 28:18-20

“The goal of a disciple was to become so like the rabbi that one would eventually do everything the rabbi did. Apprenticeship captures this vision: life alongside the master, imitation of the master, and ultimately reproduction of the master’s work.” Michael J. Wilkins

We exist to connect people to live the life of a Jesus follower

Every Jesus follower has a next step

We help people understand where they are on their spiritual journey and how to take their next step.

Three Questions About Baptism:
1. What Is Baptism?

BAPTISM IS A PUBLIC DECLARATION THAT SAYS: “I AM A JESUS FOLLOWER!”

“So those who received his word were baptized…” Acts 2:41a

“…if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” Romans 10:9

“Jesus said, “‘…repent and believe the Gospel.’” Mark 1:15b

Three Questions About Baptism:
1. What Is Baptism?
2. Why Should We Get Baptized?
3. Who Should Get Baptized?

Three Questions About Baptism:
1. What Is Baptism?
2. Why Should We Get Baptized?
3. Who Should Get Baptized?

Two groups of people who should NOT be baptized:
1. People who do not have a relationship with Jesus
2. People who have already been baptized biblically

Baptism in the New Testament was…
1. After salvation
2. By Immersion
3. In Community

“So those who received his word were baptized, and there were added that day about three thousand souls.” Acts 2:41

If you are not in those 2 groups: Today you need to be baptized!

“I’m not ready…”
“I was baptized before…”
“I’m afraid of __________”
“I don’t understand why it’s a big deal…”
