Loving and Living in God’s Word

1. Too many people who claim to follow Jesus don’t spend time in God’s word.

“We revere the Bible, but don’t read it. It is the best-selling, least-read book in America.” -George Gallup Jr.

2. We are all being formed into something. We become what we behold!

“And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.” ­-2 Corinthians 3:18

1. Jesus Followers Love God’s Word

“Oh how I love your law! It is my meditation all the day.” -Psalm 119:97

“More to be desired are they than gold, even much fine gold; sweeter also than honey and drippings of the honeycomb.”-Psalm 19:10

2. Jesus Followers Live in God’s Word

“So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed him, ‘If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples…’” -John 8:31

3. Jesus Followers Benefit from God’s Word

“All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness…” -2 Timothy 3:16
