Loud & Clear

Psalm 96:3

In this message Pastor Trenton teaches from Psalm 96:3. We focus on the fact that the Mission of Jesus Christ is generational. How should this impact the life of a Jesus follower? That is what we explore in this sermon.

Sermon Notes

LOUD AND CLEAR:

THE MISSION IS GENERATIONAL

PSALM 96:3 - Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous works among all the peoples!

BIG IDEA: THE MISSION OF GOD IS GENERATIONAL

Goal: Hope Church becomes more passionate and more engaged than ever before in declaring the Gospel to the Next Generation.

“You can’t be indifferent about your personal investment in the lives of younger people if you care at all about the proclamation of the gospel.” - Ben Stuart

EVERY FOLLOWER OF JESUS IS CALLED TO DECLARE THE GOSPEL TO THE NEXT GENERATION.

The Calling is too Clear

2 Timothy 2:2 -  “and what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men, who will be able to teach others also.”

Mark 16:15 -  And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.”

The Message is too Good

Psalm 71:17-18 - “O God, from my youth you have taught me, and I still proclaim your wondrous deeds. 18 So even to old age and gray hairs, O God, do not forsake me, until I proclaim your might to another generation, your power to all those to come.”

The Alternative is too Costly

Judges 2:10-12 - And all that generation also were gathered to their fathers. And there arose another generation after them who did not know the Lord or the work that he had done for Israel. 11 And the people of Israel did what was evil in the sight of the Lord and served the Baals. 12 And they abandoned the Lord, the God of their fathers, who had brought them out of the land of Egypt. They went after other gods, from among the gods of the peoples who were around them, and bowed down to them. And they provoked the Lord to anger.
