Who Is God? | FAITHFULNESS

EXODUS 34:6-7

The Lord passed before him and proclaimed, “The Lord, the Lord, a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness, keeping steadfast love for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, but who will by no means clear the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children and the children's children, to the third and the fourth generation.” Exodus 34:6-7

TENSION QUESTION

How can we grow our faith in God?

BURDEN

Far more often than we’d like to admit, we respond to life’s difficult circumstances with fear and unbelief rather than faith.

BURDEN

This lack of faith is crippling and paralyzing our joy in life and our witness in the world.

BURDEN

Far too often followers of Jesus are faithless because we lack understanding and belief in how faithful God actually is.

God’s Perfect Faithfulness

For you are my rock and my fortress; and for your name's sake you lead me and guide me; you take me out of the net they have hidden for me, for you are my refuge. Into your hand I commit my spirit; you have redeemed me, O Lord, faithful God. Psalm 31:4-5

That is the fact before us: God is faithful! He will remain faithful because He cannot change. He is perfectly faithful, because God is never partly anything. God is perfectly all that He is and never partly what He is. You can be sure that God will always be faithful." A.W. Tozer

Absolute trust is a must.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. PROVERBS 3:5-6

To know how trustworthy God is and not trust Him is like having $1 billion in the bank and not spending it…ludicrous!
